Cyprus Main – Spinach and Feta Filo Pie

As the focus was on the Greek side of Cyprus, we looked into making a Spanakopita-style pie for the main course. We found a great recipe on BBC Good Food that we used for this dish! Again this was a dish that didn’t require a lot of ingredients and was super easy to make.

Once the ingredients for the filling were chopped and the spinach was wilted, it was just a case of assembling the pie within layers and layers of filo (phyllo) to create a messy yet attractive pie.

This is a firm favourite that we have used as a base and made again and again. A good slice of this pie is perfect for lunch or dinner without needing a lot of extra prep.

If you really want to push the boat out with this dish, there’s always the option to make your own filo pastry sheets. Let us know if you make this dish and tell us what you think!
